The future of smart manufacturing is shaped by strong collaborations that drive innovation. In this edition of OzUBEX Success Stories, we highlight an R&D partnership carried out under the TÜBİTAK 1711 Program.

As part of a joint project by Özyeğin University, BEKO, and Ascenix, Ascenix’s AI-powered plastic injection quality control system was validated using OzUBEX’s advanced testing infrastructure. More than a conventional service relationship, this project represents a collaborative R&D effort to bring innovative technologies into industrial practice.

The project contributes to Türkiye’s AI ecosystem and supports energy efficiency through the testing and validation activities carried out at our center. We thank Ascenix for this valuable collaboration.

We would be delighted to welcome you to an important event that will help shape the digital transformation of Türkiye’s manufacturing industry.

The III Awareness Raising Seminar, organized within the scope of the DIGITALTR PROJECT – Technical Assistance for Supporting the Digital Transformation of the Manufacturing Industry, implemented through the collaboration of the European Union and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, will be hosted by OzUBEX Industry Transformation Center on 31 July 2026.

As one of the four Competence Centers designated under the project, OzUBEX is responsible for delivering technical support services to manufacturing companies and guiding them throughout their digital transformation journeys.

The seminar agenda will include:

• An overview of the DIGITALTR Project and the support mechanisms available to businesses,

• Digital Maturity Assessment, Consultancy, Test & Validation, and Collaborative Technology Development services,

• Application process and eligibility criteria,

• OzUBEX’s technical infrastructure covering Industry 4.0, robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing technologies,

• Success stories from companies that have successfully completed their digital transformation journeys,

• Networking and B2B meetings.

Note: Companies participating in the seminar will receive priority consideration during the project application evaluation process.

During the visit, our General Manager, Erinc Albey, gave them a tour of our center, sharing information about OzUBEX’s infrastructure, the services it offers, and its hands-on training opportunities. Our R&D engineer Yashar Sardroudi also introduced our machine park, equipped with advanced production technologies, and provided comprehensive details regarding the center’s technical infrastructure.

During the productive meeting, discussions focused on digital transformation and artificial intelligence projects, the potential contributions our machine park could make to power plants, and opportunities for collaboration on R&D projects. Additionally, potential contributions to the Reliability-Focused Asset Management program and areas for joint work in this field were discussed.

We would like to thank the teams from Enerjisa Production and The Zem Academy for their kind visit.

During the visit, our R&D Engineer, Yashar Sardroudi, gave them a tour of our center and shared comprehensive information about our expertise in Industry 4.0, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing technologies, as well as our applied training infrastructure, model factory approach, and production technologies.

During the meetings, we evaluated collaboration opportunities that could contribute to the technological transformation of Egyptian industry, and engaged in a productive exchange of ideas aimed at developing university-industry partnerships and strengthening OzUBEX’s international collaborations.

We thank them for their kind visit and look forward to coming together again for future joint projects.

Bringing together centers operating in Istanbul, the report highlights the centers’ areas of expertise, capabilities, services offered, and the collaborative ecosystem they have created, serving as an important resource for businesses embarking on their transformation journey.

As OzUBEX, we contributed to this study through our Project Manager, Gizem Aslantepe, and our General Manager, Dr. Erinç Albey, participated as a panelist at the report’s launch event. During the panel discussion, the new dynamics of digital transformation, AI-powered production, data-driven decision-making, sustainability, and the role of transformation centers within the framework of the Industry 4.0 approach were discussed.

In collaboration with Morbee Industry, we were pleased to host the Founding Partner of ZEM Academy which operates in the field of maintenance and asset management at the OzUBEX Industrial Transformation Center.

During the visit, our General Manager,Dr.Erinc Albey, provided information about the OzUBEX Industrial Transformation Center’s infrastructure, the services it offers, and its hands-on training opportunities, while our Operations and Analytics Manager, Ahmet Sahin , introduced our machine park equipped with advanced production technologies and shared comprehensive details about the center’s technical infrastructure.

As OzUBEX Industrial Transformation Center, we had the opportunity to attend the 3rd Kaizen Conference as part of our activities carried out under EDIH MIDAS and closely follow the latest approaches shaping the transformation agenda.

We would like to thank Dr. Muhsin Güneşlik, the teams of KalDer,as well as all speakers and panelists for their valuable insights and contributions.

Throughout the conference various applications and best practices related to lean transformation continuous improvement operational excellence, digitalization, sustainability were discussed.The presentations delivered by Toyotetsu,Wagner Kablo,Panasonic, Norm Fastener LC Waikiki,Kar Porselen once again highlighted the importance of leadership, employee engagement and a culture of continuous improvement in transformation processes.

During the event, we also held productive meetings with our technology partners FESTO and Vintes Mühendislik while new collaboration opportunities with ecosystem stakeholders. We believe these collaborations will support businesses’ transformation journeys through EDIH MIDAS.

Within the framework of the European Digital Innovation Hub EDIH MIDAS project, as we enter the 18-month reporting period, we came together at the invitation of our valued consortium partner, the Center of Excellence for Composite Technologies, operating under Sabanci University Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Research and Application Center . The meeting provided an opportunity to review our project activities and outline our plans for the upcoming period.

During the meeting, we evaluated the project’s achievements to date, along with the administrative and technical reporting processes, and discussed our roadmap for the next phase. We also exchanged knowledge and experience between institutions, sharing insights to further enhance the impact of our project activities.

We continue to strengthen our collaboration in line with our digital and green transformation goals.

During the visit, comprehensive evaluations were made on digital transformation in industry, efficiency-oriented technologies, and innovative practices in production processes. In the meetings, where solution proposals for the transforming needs of the sector were discussed, ideas were exchanged regarding collaboration opportunities and future joint projects.

As OzUBEX, we continue to support strong partnerships that will contribute to the transformation journey of the industry, and to add value to the production ecosystem through technology-driven solutions.
