As part of the MIDAS project, which aims to develop the digitalisation capabilities of SMEs in the manufacturing sector, OzUBEX
offers the opportunity to analyse the structural, mechanical and chemical properties of materials with advanced equipment such as XRF, XRD, DMA, CMM and 3D scanning systems at its Materials and Characterisation Laboratory.
Within the scope of the Production Laboratory, it supports prototyping and production processes with metal 3D printers such as SLM and WAAM, Freeformer, 5-axis CNC, and plastic injection systems.
With the Electronics and PCB Laboratory, it designs, produces, and validates electronic systems through PCB production up to 8 layers, laser milling, assembly, and testing devices.
The Digital Transformation Laboratory implements Industry 4.0 applications with industrial robots (UR5, ABB, KUKA, Franka Emika), fully automated assembly lines, AGVs, XTS magnetic conveyors, and industrial simulation infrastructure.
With this infrastructure, OzUBEX provides comprehensive support to SMEs in the areas of testing and validation, R&D and product development, training, and digital transformation.
For details on the services we offer to support SMEs on their digital transformation journey, please refer to the EDIH MIDAS Service Catalogue.
